What: Silk Screen T-Shirt Sale benefiting Invisible Children
Where: The International Children's Art Gallery, 5020 Penn Avenue,
Pittsburgh PA 15224
When: Saturday, September 13th, starting at 6pm
Cost: $5 at the door, $20 shirts
On September 13, 2008, The International Children’s Art Gallery in Pittsburgh (Garfield) will host a benefit for Invisible Children, a traveling documentary presentation featuring children affected by the 22 year war that has ravaged North Uganda. The benefit will include a handmade and silk screened t-shirt sale made from local artists and companies starting at 6pm. A screening of Invisible Children’s new documentary “Go” and presentation will take place at 8pm with live music starting shortly after.
Learn how the youth of the US are rallying together to bring this suffering to an end. The cost is $5 per person at the door and t-shirts from local designers will be on sale for $20 with profits going to Invisible Children.
Food will be provided by the Flavorville CafĂ© & Affogato with live acoustic performances by The Jim Dandies and The Smiling Lion. The gallery will also have the “Photographs of a Haitian Orphanage” on display by Laura Pertrilla & Eva Mueller.
This event is a collaborative effort of The Creative TreeHouse and The Heart of Pa.
