City council has approved more than $3 million to hire private contractors to demolish condemned buildings as part of Ravenstahl's $5 million budget to take down at least 500 structures this year.
Ravenstahl said he may consider making a pitch for stimulus funds to add as much as another $1 million to the effort.
In the meantime, the city has opened another round of bids to tear down 29 problem structures.
I'm curious about the nature of the relationship between the mayors of Youngstown and Pittsburgh.
